RECORDING
I CANNOT GET THE MACHINE TO RECORD TO VHS TAPES OR DVD'S. IT PLAYS THEM FINE BUT NO RECORDING. I LEFT IT ON THE MANUFACTURING DEFAULTS. I NEED HELP!!

picture is not square on screen
picture seems to angled slightly lower on left of screen than on right. scroll across bottom of news channels almost disappears at left of screen it is so low.

Recording to DVD
I was able to record on DVDs for months, but recently every DVD will not allow recording. Different brands still have the same error. How can I fix this?

progressive scan on and will not let me change it
Screen shows progressive scan and it will not show picture on TV. I can remove it.

Doesn't read DVD
I have cleaned the head but it acts like it doesn't see the DVD in the drive. I don't get the light telling me that there is a dvd in the drive. The drive also doen't spin when the carriage is closed

every time I try to record (unprotected DVDs or VHS tapes) to a DVD-RW, it records for one sec then stops...usually also gt error message E45. What am I doing wrong?

Dubbing VCR--DVD
How do I add to the disc with more than 1 VHS tape. I've highlited the empty title with 3 hrs left on disc and pressed dubbing & nothing happens.

VCR won't play
My VCR won't play, I have sound but no picture. I've tried the tracking and still nothing. The video's are a year old if that. Would it be because the new digital rules ? are all my VCR tape worthless now ?

When I put in a disc or even when there is not a disc in it it says:
Disk Error
--Please eject the disc.--
Playback feature may not be available on this Disc.
Does anyone know how to fix it so I can play DVD's on it?

DVD/VCR
My MWD2208 VHS player will not play tapes. The tapes begin, run for about twenty seconds, and then the entire VCR/DVD unit turns itself off. I have tried to use this product with multiple discs and the same thing happens without fail. How do I fix it?
