Ejects tape and powers off
It will eject a tape then power off even in DVD mode. It will open the tape door a little even without a tape and then power off. It has done this since we lost power due to Ike.

disc stuck
i used my satlite remote and set it up to use on the player. well now my old remote will not work and i have a disc stuck in the player .how do i reset the remote to be used with my old remote

Finalizing
I have tried over and over to copy a VHS to DVD but can't seem to figure it out. I think the problem is with finalizing but it doesn't finalize. How can reset to factory settings? I think it may have asked the very first time. I am so frustrated. Please help me. Thank you.

Err 3
The display shows Err 3. The system turn on for a few minutes but then it turn off by itself.

VCR to DVD Dubbing
I get error 25 Copy prohibited prggram. I was trying to copy to DVD a movie I recorded a few years ago on a VCR tape. Is there a way around this?

recording error
I can not record from the movie channels. (Verizon FIOS) I get "copy protection" errors code 45, sometimes code 26. and the unit will not record. I can record to the VCR, but even then it will not let me copy the recording to the DVD burner. There must be a way to work around this. Any help would be…

picture is not square on screen
picture seems to angled slightly lower on left of screen than on right. scroll across bottom of news channels almost disappears at left of screen it is so low.

Doesn't read DVD
I have cleaned the head but it acts like it doesn't see the DVD in the drive. I don't get the light telling me that there is a dvd in the drive. The drive also doen't spin when the carriage is closed

When I put in a disc or even when there is not a disc in it it says:

DVD/VCR
My MWD2208 VHS player will not play tapes. The tapes begin, run for about twenty seconds, and then the entire VCR/DVD unit turns itself off. I have tried to use this product with multiple discs and the same thing happens without fail. How do I fix it?
