  When Dubbing from VHS to DVD, the audio doesn't sync up upon playback. It's way off. Why is this happening and how can I fix it?

  I cannot seem to find the owner's manual for the DVD/VCR combo unit I just got from a friend (used), and she didn't have the manual. I can't get the remote to do anything but turn the combo on or off and changee the station. Nothing will come on the TV screen. Thanks.
