finalizing
it seems like I've done everything right, dubbing from VHS, but when I go to finalize, the screen just goes blank and the disk will not play on other equipment. What's wrong?

Cannot finalize DVD
I am trying to finalize a DVD and every time I hit the "System Menu" button, the menu does not come up, but a "DVD 3" comes up on the player.

Unable to get to easy setup
Every time I hit a bottun it shows DV 1 in the dislay. Remote will not work. Unable to do ANYTHING without remote. Manual states you have to go back to the easy setup to change this setting so that the remote can be utlized. I have tried everything to get to the setup menu including unplugging t…

how do stop the video playing fast

Question on how to record from a VHS onto DVD
I have 3 videos of an uncle that is now deceased and my family would like copies of these videos and I would like to put them onto DVD for them, is there a way to do that without having to watch the videos from the tv? Can they go straight from one to the other?

Sound Problems When Recording
When transferring an 8mm tape from my Sony handycam to my Sony DVD recorder the sound fades away. It never completely goes away, but it is so low you can't hear what's being said. How do I fix this problem?

dubing
the unit dubs dvd to vhs just fine BUT when i dub vhs to dvd it stops dubing right in the middle and completely stops. can't find anything in thee m anuaal that explains this amd it just started one day without my chaging any settings. ,HELP!!!!!!!

Recording Problem
I recently bought the above recorder and although the machine works perfectly I have a problem trying to record from an external DVD player [two types] to the machines DVD player when connected to the line 2 jacks the recording picture is perfect but I cannot get any sound at all, any ideas?
