setting time
To setup time you have gone to the setup and then change the time however you need to save the settings when you leave by pressing the center button in the middle of the arrows titled "enter". When you set the time then go from there to enter that will keep the time set.

Tip
Use a Scart lead direct from 'TV' to the '48 Input' socket. You can then play a VHS while recording to disc. Playing a DVD while recording to VHS will also function. Sky Record and Time Slip work through the '48 Input' socket as well.

cannot eject DVD
the player will not open the tray when the open/close button is pressed. There is a stuck DVD inside that seems to go through the loading process OK but it will not get past the prompt screen, nor can we eject the DVD.

Dubbing problem
My Toshiba DVR610KU refuses to dub from VCR to DVD, even when all the steps in the owner's manual are faithfully followed. All I get is a red circle with line through it on screen. Anybody have a suggestion? Thanks. Wayne in Rogers Arkansas.

HELLO PROTECTION GOODBYE Fault
2 Caps are suspect C27 (100uF16V) and C31 (470uF 25V)
replace C27 and either replace or take out C31 will solve this problem, Alu caps dry up Tanatlaum is best.

This may be a power supply problem. On my same set, I've been having problems with no picture or intermittent picture, and the service tech tells me it needs a new power supply. I'm now trying to find a wiring diagram for this TV.
