Can You Help With These Problems?

  Finalizing
  I have tried over and over to copy a VHS to DVD but can't seem to figure it out. I think the problem is with finalizing but it doesn't finalize. How can reset to factory settings? I think it may have asked the very first time. I am so frustrated. Please help me. Thank you.

  Recording to DVD
  I was able to record on DVDs for months, but recently every DVD will not allow recording. Different brands still have the same error. How can I fix this?
