We also have this model and about four weeks ago it developed a purple/pink stripe vertically across the screen, which you could see through. It also disappeared after about 4 hours. It has now developed into a wide multi-coloured stripe which means we cannot watch the TV at all. We bought the TV from Currys and they have offered us a £42 credit note towards buying a replacement in their store. Is this a reasonable offer?
