No Sound or Picture

Philips Magnavox 9P6040C1 picture would shrink to a fraction of the size of the screen and get so bright you could not make out the details- this would go away after leaving it on for several minutes-now it won't turn on at all-no picture-no sound-any ideas as to how I can fix this?
