JVC CRT Direct View TV AV-27WF36

Some channels are very dark.

Some of the channels on our "Dish Satellite" system are so dark you can not see them. A cheap Emmerson TV put in place of the JVC, without any adjustments, has a beautiful picture. How can I reset the default setting on the JVC or do I have to take in for repair or replacement?
