Toshiba DVD Recorder RD-XS32SU

Hard Drive Failure

I need to have the Hard Drive replaced as it is Kaput
It is a Maxtor Diamond Max 16 ATA 133, with 80GB Capacity
Would the replacement HD be formated by the DVD Recorder or is it Either MSFormat/Linux/ or Toshiba Proprietary format??? Please Help!!
