  Is anyone aware of a way of resetting the passwords to factory default on the LJD Deltawave 4 channel unit (the one with CD drive too)? We have had one donated to us but the person donating the item bought it with their house and was never informed of the password. I've tried hooking it up to my LAN to connect over various interfaces but it does not respond, however I can power the unit up and watch some previous recordings so I know it's functional. I've had the cover off it and there is no obvious reset method on the main board. I tried contacting the manufacturer but they never reply.

  According to the manual for the basic 4-channel, there's no way to reset the password, except by contacting a dealer (or supplier):
  NOTICE : Be sure to memorize the changed password.
  In case you forgot password, you can not enter into SYSTEM SETUP and can not
  change parameters of DVMR operation, and just leave DVMR unit to run as settings you done before.
  In case you forgot own password and want to enter into SYSTEM SETUP,
  please contact dealer to get instruction for entering into SYSTEM SETUP for password change.
  
  Have you tried the default password of [ENTER]?

  I've contacted a supplier (adata), they are not responding to emails (in fact the second one I sent bounced), I'll have to give them a call. Thanks for spotting that info, was that in the manual that I thought I had read?!
  As silly as it sounds, im not sure I have tried just [enter], I have tried every number up to about 9000 so far! I'll re-connect it all and try again tonight.Thanks!

  Sorted! It had the password 1 for admin and 2 for user. I was putting them in as 0001 etc. Grrrr Thanks all!
