Tuning for digital tv

I have lost my manual and cannot remember how the aerials need to be slotted into the back of the t.v. to enable me to get digital t.v. If I remember correctly they are done in such a way as to create a link. If I have not put in the correct model information, please tell me where I can find it on the television.
