Need Help on a power issue

My EPOQ 42" once unplugged and then pluggen back in will produce a blinking red and green light for hours on end and then finally reset. Thus, allowing me to turn the television on. Any reason for this? Is there a way to "reset" it so it does not do this anymore? Any help/assistance will be EXTREMELY appreciated! :-)
