help!!!

I have a dvd player that when you put in a movie it will play really good for the first hour then the screen will go black, but you can still hear the sound of the movie. My charger for the house was ran over by my husband so i went to the Kmart where i bought the player from and they said they no longer sold coby dvd players anymore along with the accessories and so i had to buy a multi charger and thats when the problem began. so i need help.
