changing stations

We have the Atlas DVR/PVR 5 remote device. With new HD television, a new HD Pace dolby digital cable box from Bresnan cable system. Cannot change the channels automatically as it did with the analoge box. Does anyone know how to set it to activate the automativc channel change?
