The VCR won't turn on

The VCR was on a circuit that overloaded and caused the circuit breaker to flip off during a timed recording. When the power came back on, the VCR was dead. Is there a Reset button somewhere on the VCR?

The VCR won't turn on

If the VCR is dead and there is no way to reset it, is there some way to get the video cassette out that was recording when the power went off?
