Although the sticker inside the battery compartment reads "CL035A," the model is actually US2-PH63S on the Philips website. There is nothing printed on the outside of the remote other than "Philips UNIVERSAL." On the original packaging, you may only see "PH63S," which will frustrate any attempts to navigate the Philips website for the corresponding codes or support documents. Note to Philips: please include the model number on the outside of your remotes, and verify that it corresponds to the help documentation on your corporate website. Use the online code lookup tool at http://www.urc.philips.com/find_baseCode.asp?setupDocId=533&efsetupDocId=-1&asDocId=533&readDocId=-1. In most cases, you will have several codes to try. You will need to try programming them one at a time in order to determine which one works best. In order to program the remote, press the Code Search button until the LED lights solid red. Then press the button corresponding to the device type (TV, DVD, etc.). Input the four digit code for your device. The red light will turn off when a valid code is entered. (If the light remains on, you have mistyped the code and you need to start over.) Test to see if the channel or other buttons work for the device. Write down the codes and tape them to your remote because they will need to be programmed every time the batteries are changed or someone accidentally presses the Code Search button!
