Adjusting the volume of all
speakers
● Press VOL+ or VOL
−
or turn VOLUME on the DVD
recorder system to adjust the volume.
➜ VOLUME and the actual volume level are displayed.

To switch off the sound of the DVD recorder system,
press MUTE H.

Adjusting the volume of the rear
speakers and the subwoofer
1 Press REAR or SUBWOOFER.
➜ REAR or SUBWOOFER and the actual level are displayed.
2 Press VOL + or VOL

or turn VOLUME on the DVD
recorder system to adjust the volume of the rear speakers
or the subwoofer.
Adjusting bass and treble
1 Briefly press BASS or TREBLE.
➜ BASS or TREBLE and the actual level are displayed.
2 Press VOL + or VOL
−
or turn VOLUME on the DVD
recorder system to adjust the bass or treble.
Note: If VOLUME is not turned within 5 seconds, or if any
other key is pressed, adjustment of rear and subwoofer volume
and that of bass and treble is switched off.
Loudness
Loudness enhances bass and treble at low volume.
● Press LOUDNESS repeatedly to switch loudness either on
or off.
➜ LOUDNESS ON or OFF is displayed on the DVD
recorder system.
Setting the volume balance
between the speakers
If a speaker appears too loud or too quiet in comparison to
the rest of the speakers, you can adjust the volume balance
between the speakers.
1 Press AUDIO MENU to enter the audio menu.
2 Press 4 repeatedly to select BALANCE, then press 2.
3 Press 2 to enter TEST TONE.
4 Press 4 repeatedly to select ON, then press OK.
➜ The test tone is played on each speaker for a short time.
Note:The test tone is not available for adjusting the subwoofer
volume.
5 Press 4 repeatedly to select the speaker which appears too
quiet or too loud:
➜ FRONT-L: the left front speaker,
➜ FRONT-R: the right front speaker,
➜ CENTER: the centre speaker,
➜ REAR-L: the left rear speaker,
➜ REAR-R: the right rear speaker,
➜ SUBWOOFER: the subwoofer.
6 Then, press 2.
7 Press 3 or 4 repeatedly to adjust the volume of the
selected speaker (values between -6 and +6).
8 Press OK to store the setting or 1 to exit without storing.

To adjust the volume of another speaker, repeat steps 5–8.
9 Press AUDIO MENU to exit.
