Chapter 2 Recording and Playback
To perform the following operations
Referece level for recording in DV (SP) format
On many consumer DV devices, recording is carried out at a reference level of
12 dB. Threfore, when recording in DV (SP) format on this unit, using the
fixed referenced level of 12 dB is recommended. When dubbing DVCAM
source material recorded at a different reference level, you can carry out manual
adjustment as described in the following.
Operation Do this:
Stop recording. Press the STOP button.
The unit enters stop mode, and will automatically
switch to standby off mode after the time period set
with the STOP TIMER menu item
(see page 71)
for
tape protection.
Remove the cassette. Press the EJECT button.
After a few seconds, the tape is unwound from the
head drum and the cassette is automatically ejected.
If a CNT value is shown on the time counter display
(the time data type indicator COUNTER is lit), the
CNT value is reset.
Inhibit the unit from
outputting text information
(time data, operation mode
indications, etc.) to the
video monitor.
Set the CHARA. DISPLAY menu item
(see page 68)
to OFF.
Change the time period
before the unit switches
from stop mode to standby
off mode.
Change the setting of the STOP TIMER menu item
(see page 71)
