Product Problem: Remote Control no longer works on DVD and TV

I have this connected to a Ferguson TV FTV24FW1 which has a remote control 2500, and this isn't working either! The side part of the DVD for TV functions used to work the TV. I was experiencing sluggish operation of the TV remote, which would work for a while and then stop. Now the DVD remote won't work. The recorder was prone to freezing at times & I would always kill the power & switch on, this never affected the DVD RC. Now that the TV RC wont work neither will the DVD RC. Help!!!

The RC for my LG DR7400 has started to work again, but not all functions available! The Up arrow is working but not the Down one! The ok button wont work but the play button will!! What's wrong with the DVD or the RC its doing my head in! The TV RC still wont work!!

Product Problem: Placing chapters on DVD

How do I insert chapters into a DVD that I am making of my VHS tapes? Do I do it when recording, or is it done after you have completed the VHS ->DVD transfer? How do I specify where the chapters go? NOTE: I've read and re-read the manual and I cannot put it all together...! Very poorly written!
