My Vizio 42" LCD tv is showing no picture, it will power on, though. Took it to the shop and they checked it out and said I need a new mainboard. Now the tv will power up and you can see that the screen is getting power but none of the buttons on the tv will work except the power button. Now if I get the part myself, what part number do I need to be looking up, and would it be the main LCD Board, or some other kind of main board? Thks

Thanks for the information. I have removed the burnt lens and it is indeed burnt. It's melted. I think it was due to the TV being left on with a game in the same position. I have looked for manuals and even called "Infocus" who produced this TV. They told me the light engine was produced by RCA. I haven't been able to find a manual, but the rep at RCA said if I could get a part number that they might be able to help me. Let me know if you find any suppliers and I'll do the same. Thanks.

Tv won't turn on. I unplugged it and when I plugged it back in and push the power button on the tv, the tv starts making a ticking sound. If I unplug it, it stops making the sound. As soon as I push the power button it starts again.

Hi, When I switch on the television the picture comes on then goes off again. The sound stays on and if I switch the tv off then on again a few times the tv stays on and works ok. It will work ok for a few days the the same fault comes on again.
Would be grateful of any advice.

Can anyone help please? Has anyone got a service manual for this model or similar? We have taken one apart to see if anything obvious has popped but couldn't see anything. The internal fuses were fine. We are going to arrange for these screens to be collected for WEEE disposal in the next week or two. It seems such a shame. Could do with a manual. Put mine in a safe place!
The screen has gone blank and the remote doesn't appear to work. However, when pressing the menu button on top of the tv, screen changes to blue, and the remote does work.
Don't know where to go next.

TV was working fine, I turned it off and later I went to turn it back on. Nothing. The red "standby" light was not on. I checked power to the TV, you know , stick your finger in the end of plug,Ouch. We have power to the TV, no standby light. I'm wondering if there is a fuse or breaker inside the TV?
