We have exchanged dvr and also have spoken to local help available . Their answer is that happens at times . we pay monthly to time warner cable for 2 dvrs and remotes . why isn't it possible for them to correct this problem . I am sure we are not the only one having it . I was able to program the remote to the tv in another room, however I could not get the remote to program to the DCT 6416. I am confident that the problem is in the cable box.
