Product Problem: Samsung LE40R74BDX - 'PC Mode not Supported'

Hi

I have a Samsung HDTV, model number LE40R74BDX.

I am have a VGA cable which I have connected to the VGA port on the back of the TV & the other end to a Dell Inspiron 9300 (running Windows XP) laptop.

The laptop recognises it is connected to the TV, but when I change the input source on the TV to 'PC', I get the message 'PC Mode not Supported'.

I have gone through the menu set-up options on the TV, but the PC mode is 'greyed out' & I can not access it.

Please help, as this is very frustrating.

i CAN'T SEE THE CAPTIONS , I TIRED ALL THE OPTIONS AND THERE IS NO WAY, I CAN SEE IT USING THE DVD, BUT NOT THE TV, OF COURSE IS AN ISSUES OF SETTING THE PROPER FUNTIONS. i HAVE A 42e lcd
