After connecting the antenna cable, then the power cord, the display flashes "--:--" and the power button is non-functioning. What do I do now? Jim

0 The Admiral VHS VCR antenna ports are very likely to fail at anytime, usually 1-2 weeks after the warranty expires. The power cords that are included on the Admiral VHS VCRs are also very likely to fail, due to the fact that they use the cheapest materials possible to make the power chords and is also very boticable that they do the same with every other part in the VCRs. The timer is simply a tease and is there to flash random numbers at you as it eats and erases your tapes. The power buttons are very notorious for failure as the material quality is very low. And what you should do is buy a GE VHS VCR as there are NONE of the problems stated above and play like a dream.
