i can not get my tv to auto program channels from ...

i can not get my tv to auto program channels from setup each time i try to auto program it erases the channels i can use the dvd but cannot get a pictur, sound or anything to come up ive tried everything i can think of so i need help in resolving the problem its an gt2015dv
