How do I retune in a new home? Not sure if it is ...

How do I retune in a new home? Not sure if it is the aerial as former residents had sky, which we do not have. We have returned from abroad where our TV was tuned to local channels via the internet and HDMI. When I press on digital TV, just says 'signal lost'.
