Can't turn on Tv - no Indicator light...

I can't turn on my tv - when power is on, no picture & sound & indicator light is dead too. Bought onlt 2 month ago. Your prompt help & advise is much appreciated

0 Today my tv had the exact same issue crop up. There is no indicator light any longer, no picture, no sound. When power button is pressed there is no response at all. I've owned the tv for a year and a half now. I find it pretty suspicious that both of our tv's would go out within a few days of each other like this.

0 Tracked fault down to failed (open circuit) inductor (L4 - turquoise component, right next to the power connector.) Maybe a faulty batch of inductors. I cannot see any reason why this one would have failed in this fashion. I'm working on 15.6" version of the combo, but I imagine they're the same internally. If yours is new then I wouldn't risk opening it, but if it is outside of warranty you've not got much to lose. This one only needed a single part & basic soldering skills!

0 The unit now powers on and works fine as a TV, but the DVD component of it is completely dead and power isn't making it that far, so I've still got another fault to track down. Will update if/when I solve this second problem.
