Hooking up older Curtis-Mathes TV to a newer DVD player. Trying to hook up DVD player to older Curtis Mathis TV. TV only has coax outpout, DVD has none. VCR is connected to TV via coax, but only has yellow/white input jacks, no red. We tried plugging in anyway, but can't get the TV to even stop cycling through its channels (no remote) and also the DVD shows power but is not doing anything when we hit play. Is this hopeless?
