Dvd p480 doesn't recognize remote. I tested infrar...

Dvd p480 doesn't recognize remote. I tested infrared on remote using camera on phone it seems to work. Also tried to program direct Tv remote to run Dvd player but that doesn't work either. Is there a way to test sensor on player and/or reset player? Thanks
