Question About Dell Flat Panel Television W 1700
Black sreen...

No picture, just audio. HOw does one diagnose the problem (I'm leaning toward buying an inverter)? Also having trouble getting the back panel off. Any help.

5 go here and find a great photo step by step instructions on how to take the back off AND install a new backlight inverter, which is a known flaw and makes the lcd only have a black screen and/or power on briefly upon depressing the power button. I'm a 66yr/old lady and I changed mine out, so YOU CAN TOO. http://www.lcdpart.com/files/dell_w1700.pdf I've not had a problem since I changed out this part.
