I have a diamond DVDV807/04 that I have a problem ...

I have a diamond DVDV807/04 that I have a problem with recognizing it has a disc loaded. It originally gave the message loading then would display "no disc" occasionally. At first it was a little annoying as it would eventually work, but now it doesn't matter what disc I use it says no disc. What's up with this and how do I fix it. Thanks
