5 The solution I heard of is that it is likely a bad capacitor. 330uF 16v 105cc.

5 I just replaced said capacitor on mine and that corrected the problem, repaired it for less than 3 bucks.

3 I have unplugged and replugged tv and unit, checked all connections, changed batteries in remote, checked if tv and converter box are on same channel (3), turned everything on and off several times, NO RESULT. Cannot find solution in the manual. Any ideas? thank you

3 There is no solution. i contacted company-their only concern was if the warranty was still valid -when i told them it had expired, all contact was terminated. i threw the piece of crap in the rubbish.
