Emerson 50 in tv shuts off after a few seconds. R...

Emerson 50 in tv shuts off after a few seconds. Red Stan bye light goes off after a few seconds. When i unplug it for a minute or 2, the tv does turn on but then shuts off. Had a thunderstorm last night and multiple power surges.
