Question About Emerson DVD Player EWD7003
set up...

need help with set up, do we run the DVD player through the TV or do we run the TV through the DVD player, have 3 colored plugs, red, white and yellow, where do they go on the dvd player and the TV

1 We have a toshiba tv and vcr connected and it works...we recently had direct tv to install a DVR. everything worked the way it was connected before they changed it. Now we can't get the dvd to work...the vcr goes to the tv and works, but how can we make the dvd player work too???
