Want to connect my Sony HI8 to the WV20V6 but find that a TV screen is needed to input certain values. Tried simple dubbing with a direct connection but the record light will not come on. The DVD player functions perfectly, even for old VHS tapes. I have the printed manual but it does not cover connecting all three machines. Funai Corp tech service is not available.
