From day one when I purchased my Sylvania 6842PEM I had problems geting my TV to turn on. I always thought it was a short in the outlet since I tried a different outlet and experienced no further problems. Lately however I have been experiencing this problem more frequently. When I turn my television off I have problems geting it to turn on again. It’s as if the TV is not receiving any power. I have tried unplugging the TV from its outlet and plugging it back in again. I have tried manually pushing the on/off button on the TV itself, and even tried using the remote, but nothing seems to work. After trying all these methods to no avail, maybe several hours later, or even the next day the TV will just come back on again. It has gotten to the point I will not turn the TV off anymore, due to the fact it’s too much trouble to get back on again.
