converter box...

How do I hook up the Converter Box so I can record a television show. The box has to have the television set on channels 3 or 4. I want to record a show on channel 8, this leaves a blue blank screen because the converter box makes the tv on wrong station to record

0 this says dvd/vcr combo tv.. It is not a dvd it is a vcr/tv combo tv
