Model DV1030 No problem viewing DVD. Problem viewi...

Model DV1030 No problem viewing DVD. Problem viewing VHS tape. Unit FF, Rewind, & Stop are OK. All settings are correct. Tape does play on another unit. Again, remote and unit are set properly. Tried unpluging unit--doesn't help. Why no viewing? Followed the manuel's trouble shooting tips--no help
