I have the GoVideo VR3845 combo... when making a DVD from my family videos I want to download or even watch the DVD on my home computer (it has a Windows XP Movie Maker System). However, when I put in the DVD into the DVD bay of the computer, I receive a message saying: "Windows Media Player cannot play the DVD because a compatible DVD decoder is not installed on your computer." I have looked high and low for how I can get a compatible DVD decoder for my PC so I can watch the video. The GoVideo produces a "SONATA_VOLUME" format... never hear of that... Anyone out there have any information on how I can find the "decoder"? I'd really like to be able to edit the home movies/videos in my PC and then make a family video off the PC Movie Maker Program. Thank you.

0 make sure that you finalize your DVD on your recorder first. This allows it to be played on any DVD player or Computer, (usually)

0 I meant to say, finalize the Disc after you record it, and before you try to play it in any other machine. :)
