Haven't used our Hitachi DV-DS81E in months and have just inserted a DVD for our grandson and the screen on the recorder says "Reading" which appears for ages and then it ejects the DVD. All plugs seem to be in securely and TV is set to AV2 but the recorder and DVD don't appear to be talking to each other.
