Question About Hitachi DVR DV-DS253A
record and playback...

My DS-163A records to the HDD reliably and will dub to a DVD disk but it will not usually play DVDs either shop-bought or burnt by the recorder. Also, I would like to be able to extract the recorded movies etc from the HDD to an external storage device but do not know if this is possible. Any help would be much appreciated. regards, Neville
