I have an Hitachi hd3 combi Television/dvd player ...

I have an Hitachi hd3 combi Television/dvd player . Can't turn it on. The red standby k.e.d. just pulses dimly on and off and the remote does nothing. Before fault the red standby l.e.d. shone brightly and constantly.
