I've just purchased a Hitachi 42 inch smart tv and no matter what I try and set the sound at it sounds very tinny. The only way I can describe it is sounds like a portable tv if that makes sense?

0 I have had similar problem with TV sound, with the difference being it distorts and gets a base like vibration mumbling on voice and other sounds when on standard sound mode. I have been informed that one way to combat this issue is to invest in a decent Home Theatre System, Sound Bar (preferably wireless or with built in Bluetooth), Stereo System with built in or connected Amplifier. I found that purchasing a a 2.1 Sandstrom theatre system designed for PC/Tablet/Smart Cell/Mobile works fine connected with Aux jack into headphone socket. This will cut out TV sound altogether, but then you will get great sound with base effect for gaming, music and movies that will work with remote control on TV and in PC/HDMI mode(s). You will find that you will have to adjust bass and tweeter speakers manually to your desired level(s), however the Sandstrom has brought out system with built in Bluetooth so you can also pair them with other devices like wifi. I hope this helps to resolve your concerns, as a 2.1 system is by far the cheapest solution, and more than enough for a standard lounge or living room.

0 Incidentally you can buy Sandstrom in Currys/PC WORLD for no more than £50, I was very lucky to get mine for half price at £25.00, yes what a bargain compared to that of soundbars, and the sound effects on HD Movies and music is absolutely awesome! You will think you were sat in your own Movie Theatre!
