I purchased this TV on/about Dec 2002. Recently the TV would suddenly break up and then turn off. About 2 days ago the screen which was clear suddenly became blurry. I wiggled my outside cable feed and secured the cable TV/antenna connectors. The screen continued to be blurry. RED tones predominate and appear to bleed. Troubleshooting =============== I have it connected to a Time Warner Cable Box. I took a portable TV and hooked up to the Cable Box and the signal was clear. I then reconnected the cable box to the Hitachi TV and it was blurry again. At this point it would appear the problem is with the TV. At this point I'm trying to determine what the problem is and what my options are. I would think it more expensive to fix a 6 year old screen then buy a new one?
