how to remove pedestal from TV?...

I'm moving and want to pack the flat panel unit in it's original packaging (which I have.) But I'm puzzled about how the oval base can be removed? I took out the small panel (two small set screws.) but all I see is the lock washers and bolts for setting the viewing angle adjustment . Is there some easy way to remove the base for shipping.?
