INSIGNIA FLAT SCREEN20" MODEL#NS-20LCD...

WHEN I PRESS THE INPUT BUTTON TO USE THE DVD PLAYER THE BOTTOM OF THE SCREEN READS "LOCKED"WHEN I USE MY GE UNIVERSAL REMOTE. BUT I CAN GO UP TO THE TELEVISION AND PRESS THE INPUT BUTTON AND WILL ALLOW THE PICTURE TO SHOW FROM THE DVD PLAYER.MY QUESTION IS HOW CAN THIS BE UNLOCKED SO I CAN CONTROL IT FROM MY UNIVERSAL REMOTE?
