Question About JVC DVD Player XV-M5GSL
does not get beyond...

When switched on the display shows "READING". I cannot select a disk or eject a disk. There a 5 DVDs in the trays. TV screen shows the JVC blue screen. Remote (new batteries) and front panel buttons are unresponsive .
