We have a JVC TV-DVD combo set bought here in Australia. It is marked as Region 4 on the back of the set but we notice it will play a Region 2 DVD without problems. Can we assume that if it plays DVDs from Regions 2 and 4, it will play DVDs from all regions? We want to buy a DVD set from the US (Region 1) but worry that the set won't play on this player. Australia is closely linked, historically, politically and legally, to the UK, so I'm not too surprised that it plays Region 2 DVDs. I worry that it may only be unlocked for Regions 2 & 4 and not worldwide. Is there a region unlock code for this model if my fears prove well-founded? Thank you.
