i accidently hit something on the remote or maybe ...

i accidently hit something on the remote or maybe the player to put a LOCK on the button to open/close on the remote. i have to turn the dvd player off then hold down the open button till opens then the dvd player turns back on and then i have to push the slot closed... how can i start using the button on the remote or dvd player
