dvd problem...

can only play dvd I record can not play movies I buy or rent, plays vcr tapes ok

0 I have the same problem. Of course the unit is no longer under warranty. I called LG customer support for assistance. They had me unplug the unit and hold in the power button for 25 seconds. This didn't fix the problem. Does anyone else have a solution for this problem? I saw a couple of posts on the web indicating that the RC797T might have been recalled by LG. Any assistance would be appreciated.
